Annapurna

Annapurna was born here at the Palm Bay Ashram and is one of our yoga teachers. She has been immersed in Mataji’s teachings and Yoga her entire life. She teaches a classical style of Hatha yoga as taught by Ma Yoga Shakti. She has 2 Children and runs a Native plant business, “Native Butterfly Flowers”. In 2003, she spent several months in India with Ma Yoga Shakti. In 2013, she did the yoga teacher training with Ma Mokshapriya Shakti at the New York Ashram.

Gajendra

Gajendra Giles teaches a series of classic hatha yoga postures ending with a guided relaxation and meditation. He started yoga in 1969 in Miami, FL studying with Swami Jyotirmayananda, the last living swami who was a direct disciple of Swami Sivananda. In 1972 he began a study of Paramahansa Yogananda’s Self Realization lessons and took Kriya Yoga initiation from Swami Hariharananda in Orlando, FL in 1992. Gajendra met Ma Yogashakti in 1994 and completed her yoga teacher training course here at the Palm Bay Ashram. He has been teaching here ever since. He visited India 3 times and has visited numerous Ashrams including Mataji’s in Haridwar. In 1998 he attended the Kumba Mela in Haridwar with Mataji.

Natalia Goryachenkova

Natalia is a dedicated certified yoga teacher with 15 years of international experience in practising and teaching yoga asanas, yoga philosophy and anatomy. Most of Natalia’s studies in yoga took place in Russia, Singapore, Australia, and Thailand. At Yoga Shakti Natalia teaches Flow Vinyasa Yoga emphasizing fluid, seamless flow between poses, linking breath with movement. Classes vary in pace and intensity. Flow Yoga combines such advantages as strength, flexibility, consistent ujjayi breath of Ashtanga yoga, alignment and precise movement of Iyengar yoga, focus on the energy centers (chakras) and the raise of consciousness of Kundalini yoga. Currently Natalia lives and teaches yoga in Melbourne, Florida. Besides yoga, Natalia’s big part of life is being a mother of a little curious boy, while her interests also include studying art, collecting minerals, and mysticism.

Sensei Marguerite

Sensei Marguerite cured herself through yoga and Pilates when she severely injured her neck and hip in a horse-riding accident. She also has a 5th degree black belt in martial arts. She is also a certified personal trainer with 35 years of experience. Her Thursday class is a ‘fusion’ of yoga poses and martial arts with modifications given for beginners and for helping those with injuries.

Lisa Jackson

She is a Hatha Yoga Instructor who offers an introductory yoga class for Beginners. This class focuses on breath-work, stretching, and gentle postures for those new to yoga. It’s also an ideal way to begin your day with deep breathing and gentle movement in a beautiful outdoor setting. We begin by focusing on the breath to center, ease tensions, and connect with our hearts. Using the breath, we move through stretches to create space within the body, followed by postures to increase flexibility and strength. This is a joyful practice that concludes in Savasana with a short Sound Bath using Himalayan bowls, accompanied by OM chanting.

His classes are designed to guide you beyond temporary relief, helping you cultivate an anchor in the present moment for profound inner peace and self-discovery.
